One of the biggest requests from our partners at the City of Madisonville when building this new website was functionality of updates and making the navigation simple and easy to understand.
The previous website was made with a custom HTML template that was updated using a database via the previous webmaster. We didn’t want to trap our client into a situation where simple content updates had to been done using our team. With this thought we built the system using WordPress. It is easily updatable and adjustable for our client. For bigger changes or when they are swamped with City dealings, they always know we can update systems for them.
The population of Madisonville, TX is diverse. Some people are really computer literate and others are more hands on country folk, that don’t deal with computers. We had to devise a navigation system for the city that broke down into departments and sub departments that was easily navigable, but still would contain the hundreds of pages in an easy to find manner.
