The City of Madisonville’s website was an overwhelming mess. Many pages had broken links and out of date custom coded widgets made the sight slow and clunky. The outdated look and feel was just the beginning; it was also a beast to navigate. With walls of text and links, it required many clicks to find anything. After exploring the needs of its diverse users and the City Government itself, we completely overhauled the site’s design and content architecture into a vibrant and modern experience. The new site was now responsive (desktop, tablet, mobile), adhering to federal and local accessibility standards. We also defined the feature set for the supporting content management system (CMS), and led the content strategy for the new site.
